Upper Elementary

In the Upper Elementary classroom, students in grades (or levels) 4, 5, and 6, continue expanding their mastery of academic subjects while also honing soft skills such as leadership, time management, and self-assessment.
At this age, the ability to abstract, imagine, and absorb, expands the walls of the classroom to the wider world. This approach brings about a natural sense of connectedness to humanity and with it a desire to make a contribution to the world. Students exhibit increased energy for exploration and research, and with the support of Guides and Academic Coaches they are able to  visualize their priorities and work successfully toward them.

Socially, students are sharpening their awareness of the world around them and where they fit in, and they become particularly attuned to higher order concepts such as justice, fairness, and the needs of others.
