Teacher Evaluations and Student Records may be sent via email, admissions@alcuinschool.org, or by mail directly to the Admission Office. 

*Note: The Ravenna Solutions Portal will provide directions for submitting documents online*

  • Toddler Program

    Serves children ages 18 months to 3 years
     * Students in this program are admitted up to the age of 2.2 years
    * Alternative arrangements may be necessary for 2020-21 School Year.


    • Attend PPM - both parents
    • Family interview - Toddler child stays with parents during 45 minute interview
  • Primary Program

    Half Day serves children ages 3 and 4

    • Attend PPM - both parents
    • Family Interview - 3 and 4 year old children stay with parents during the 45 minute interview
    • Primary Group Interview - February

    Extended Day serves children ages 5 to 6 years 

    • Attend PPM - both parents
    • Classroom visit/Parent interview - children 4 1/2 or older at the time of application will be invited to visit a classroom with a guide while parents remain with the Director of Admission
    • In-house assessment - individually scheduled during the month of February

  • Elementary, Middle School & Upper School

    • Serves children 7 to 18 years
    • Attend PPM - both parents
    • Full Day visit - our office will schedule; please plan for your child to bring lunch
    • Parent Interview
    • Teacher evaluations and student records for the current and previous school years
    • Student assessments:
                - Age 6 - in-house, scheduled individually
                - Age 7 - 18 - ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination)

  • Acceptance

    Applicant acceptance is based on several factors, one of which is a successful match of the family's and the school's educational goals. Siblings of currently qualifying students and children transferring from other Montessori schools are given priority. New applicants are admitted for remaining spaces, while gender and age balance is maintained within the classrooms. Evaluations, test scores, or grades from an applicant's recent school, if applicable, also play an important part in the selection process. Each application is reviewed by the Admission Committee. The first notification of acceptance takes place mid-March. Accompanying the acceptance letter email are directions for completing enrollment online. A one time, new student fee of $1,000.00 will be required in order to submit an enrollment contract for all students.
  • Wait Pool

    Applicants who have been accepted for all reasons other than space availability will be placed in our wait pool. Families will be notified when a place becomes available.
