Margaret Dai

Dai’s passion for books started at a young age. She hid books and flashlights in bed so nobody could catch her reading at night. Her love of books continues, and it is hard for her to put a good book down before finishing it.
Margaret Dai has worked for Alcuin School as the Shaun M. Underhill Librarian for nine years, but her connection to Alcuin goes back further as a parent. Her three children attended the school for 21 years; her youngest graduated in 2023.

Dai’s passion for books started at a young age. She hid books and flashlights in bed so nobody could catch her reading at night. Her love of books continues, and it is hard for her to put a good book down before finishing it. One of the perks of being an adult - she does not have to hide at night! She adores working with children and likes the challenge of finding just the right book to hook a reader for life.

Hiking in national parks is Dai’s passion. With each visit, she gains a greater appreciation for the natural world and the importance of conservation.
