Hongya Wang
Since 2009, Wang has nurtured her passion for Chinese language and culture. Now, as the upper elementary and middle school Mandarin teacher, she continues to inspire young minds.
Hongya Wang is the Upper Elementary and Middle School Mandarin teacher and has been a member of the Alcuin faculty since 2015. She earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Chongqing University in China and a master’s degree in telecommunication from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Since 2009, Wang has nurtured her passion for Chinese language and culture. Now, as the upper elementary and middle school Mandarin teacher, she continues to inspire young minds.
Beyond the classroom, her most cherished memory dates to her days as a college student. As captain of the volleyball team at Chongqing University, she led them to a championship three times in the Sichuan province university games and secured fourth place in the national university games.
Wang is thrilled to be part of the Alcuin community and looks forward to helping students excel in both language and life skills.
