Committed to academic excellence, Alcuin Upper School provides a robust Educational Travel program enabling faculty to uniquely extend the classroom. During the year, all Middle School and Upper School student take Educational Travel trips related to courses of study, particular interests and service. As an integral part of the curriculum, Educational Travel provided within tuition fees.
Middle School students enjoy a number of educational travel experiences to enhance their knowledge of outdoor education, cultural literacy, world geography, and Spanish immersion. In recent years, students have enjoyed backpacking and canoeing in Estes Park Colorado and touring Washington, D.C. to experience our national history.
Upper School freshmen begin Upper School traveling to British Columbia. Students visit the University of British Columbia and kayak in the coastal waters of Canada. Working together as a team, students develop self-confidence and experience natural wonders as they kayak from island to island.
