The
Toddler Program was established in response to Dr. Maria Montessori's observations that the most important period in a human being's educational and emotional development is the first six years of life. Our commitment to these important years is clearly evident in this specialized program designed to serve the needs of the toddler by focusing on the processes of independent exploration, learning, and, most importantly, the joy of discovering the world.
Teachers guide in this early developmental period by helping children focus on practical life skills, sensorial exploration, language development, investigation of the natural world through science, developing fine and gross motor skills, and the appreciation of art and music. The Toddler classroom includes directed group experiences such as songs, stories, snacks, outdoor play, and movement.
