As an authorized IB World School, Alcuin students in 6th level through Upper School follow the internationally recognized standards and practices governed by the International Baccalaureate Organization® (IB) in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1966, the IB assures authorized World Schools meet international benchmarks for quality education.  IB educators are specifically trained to develop the student’s natural curiosity.  On 1 February 2016, there were 5,578 IB programs being offered worldwide, across 4,335 schools in 136 countries and 76 languages.
