Luanne Samuel

Samuel has four children and eight grandchildren that love to visit the house built by her in-laws in Normandy.
Luanne Samuel has been Director of Philanthropy since 2012. Born in East Texas, she planned to be a constitutional lawyer, but her career path was unexpectedly redirected by her French teacher at Southern Methodist University.

Samuel and her family have lived in Venezuela, London, Athens, Brussels, Geneva, Boston, Washington D.C., and Dallas over the course of 25 years.  She has also visited Bangkok, Hong Kong, Moscow, St. Petersburg and many places in Europe.

Samuel loves cooking for her family – their favorites are lasagna, Grand Marnier souffle, chocolate mousse, Blanquette de Veau, and Poulet au fromage. She learned Spanish and Greek and doesn’t remember much now,  but she did make an A+ in French even though she only took that one semester conversation course. She has four children and eight grandchildren that love to visit the house built by her in-laws in Normandy every summer.
