Lisa Gonzales

Lisa Gonzales has been a Toddler Guide since 2004 when Peggy Larson recruited her from the Montessori Institute of Denver.
She earned her Early Childhood degree from Boston University and shortly after was asked to work in an infant room at a Montessori school in a Boston suburb.  She was able to observe in the Primary and Elementary classrooms and was blown away by how the babies in her classroom would be so capable in such a short amount of time.  She began reading Dr. Montessori’s books and several months later was sent to Montessori training in Colorado.

Gonzales later earned her master's degree in Montessori Education from Loyola University in Maryland.  Her favorite childhood memory was road tripping to the family fishing cabin in Rockport with her family, including her grandparents. All nine of them would pile into the station wagon, while her grandparents sat in the front seat singing their favorite songs along the way. During the day they might go to the beach, drive around looking for wildflowers, go shopping, and in the evenings, they would go fishing.

Today, her own two children are now enjoying these fishing trips with their grandparents.
