Laura Nelson
During Nelson's senior year at Skyline High School in Dallas, her doubles team won first place in the city tournament.
Laura Nelson has been a teaching assistant at Alcuin since 1998.
Prior to Alcuin she worked at Harry Stone Montessori School for five years where her two daughters attended. When a friend introduced Nelson to what was then-St. Alcuin Montessori School, Nelson immediately knew she wanted to work there.
Nelson has two daughters; one lives in Portland, OR and the other lives nearby in Richardson. Both daughters have two children. Nelson has been married to her high school sweetheart for 45 years.
Nelson was an avid bowler and tennis player. During her senior year at Skyline High School in Dallas, her doubles team won first place in the city tournament.
Her time off is mostly spent with family. Whether helping her husband do things around the house, visiting with her grandkids, taking vacations with family, or playing a competitive game of ping pong, family is always around.
