Gregg Fleisher

Fleisher can make the world’s greatest breakfast burritos.
Gregg Fleisher has been the DP and MYP computer science teacher at Alcuin since 2022.  He started his career as an actuary but switched careers to pursue his lifelong passion: teaching high school math.  Fleisher won the outstanding AP calculus teacher award in the Southwest Region in the 1990’s and with his success as a teacher and as a businessman, he was encouraged by Dallas philanthropists to start and lead an education company that increased math, science, and English results across Texas.

That fledgling company morphed into the National Math and Science Initiative and worked closely with the Bush and Obama administrations, raising over $500 million while achieving unparalleled results across the country. From 2016 – 2020, Fleisher served as a Trustee of the College Board, helping set policies affecting PSAT, SAT, and AP.  He is excited to go back to doing what he loves: teaching students and seeing them succeed.

Fleisher can make the world’s greatest breakfast burritos (it makes sense, as 60% of his first name is “egg”) and would happily take a Language and Literature course taught by Mr. Evan McGarvey, whose passion for the subject he finds inspiring.
