Dhun Doongaji

Doongaji believes thinking mathematically can help in every walk of life and is deeply committed to helping her students develop and hone their problem-solving skills.
Dhun Doongaji joined Alcuin school in 2020 at the start of the COVID 19 pandemic. She teaches DP Mathematics and MYP Geometry. In addition, she is the faculty advisor for the Alcuin Advanced Math Club. 

She was born and raised in Mumbai and came to the United States to pursue her master’s degree in mathematics from Virginia Tech. She has lived and taught in many different places including Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey until her family moved to Dallas in 2015. She also has two young daughters in the Montessori system.  

Doongaji believes thinking mathematically can help you in every walk of life and is deeply committed to helping her students develop and hone their problem-solving skills. Her classes foster collaboration and encourage students to vocalize their thought processes, share their insights and engage in meaningful discussions.  

When she is not teaching, Doongaji enjoys spending time with her family, watching true crime documentaries and gardening.
