Ashley Hesseltine

Hesseltine loves to travel, personally and with the Alcuin Travel Program.
Ashley Hesseltine has been with Alcuin since 2017 as the Upper School History Teacher. She began teaching 9th grade Government and Economics and 10th grade World History, but in 2020, she traded in 9th grade for DP History and has enjoyed her time at Alcuin.

Hesseltine was in DISD prior to teaching at Alcuin and has always had a passion for History. She loves to travel, personally and with the Alcuin Travel Program. Her favorite personal trip was visiting South Africa for the 2010 World Cup. It was an incredible experience seeing the USMNT play on the international stage. Her favorite Alcuin trip was Peru in 2022. While Iceland and the Caribbean have the views, Peru offered so much more in terms of integrating with the local communities and climbing Machu Picchu.

Hesseltine has two active boys who play for FC Dallas, so when she is not at school, you can probably find her on a soccer field, either too hot or too cold, but never just right. She loves spending time with her family and nurturing a love for history with her children. She’s even convinced her Middle Schooler that history documentaries are fun, and her goal is to instill that love of history to all Alcuin students.
